MIAMICENTRAL ALL ABOARD STATION

Construction is progressing at MiamiCentral Station. All Aboard Florida began construction on the 12-story  MiamiCentral office and parking complex in Overtown this month.

The downtown Miami station, known as MiamiCentral, will span nine acres and be located just east of Miami-Dade County Hall and will include 3 million square feet of mixed-use development with residential, office and commercial, and a retail concourse. The station will connect with the Metrorail, Metromover, County bus and City of Miami trolley systems. The new All Aboard Florida station will officially connect the following transit modes: 2 Metrotrail stations, 2 Metromover stations, Metrobus, and the future Tri-Rail station. This will increase connections to activities and tourist destinations, including the Performing Arts Center, Bayside Market and Bayfront Park.

Located at 160 NW 7th Street. It will also include 1,114 parking spaces that will serve the MiamiCentral mixed-use project and the Lyric Theater.

Miami commissioners were also scheduled to vote on September 2015 on a plan to turn over air rights to All Aboard Florida that will allow the project to be built above city streets.
